Board members present were Ken Richardson, John Devine, Pat Mallow and Dave Johnson. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviere. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.

• Dave motioned: “To accept the minutes from the June 06, 2005 Select Board
  meeting”. Pat seconded. There were no changes or corrections. All were in favor, motion passed.
  
• The Board would like to see a copy of the grant agreement among the Town,
  Bolton Valley and the State.
  
• The Board discussed the highway department and CDL. Since there are no particular requirements other than a permit, test and license Dave motioned: “To have the Town pay once only for the permit, driving test and a two-year license for Dave Root and there will be no restrictions on the purchase of the license; no length of time needed to continue service after the license is obtained.” Pat seconded. There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
  
• Fire Chief Mike Gervia and Fireman Mike Sapel met with the Board to
  discuss the purchase of a new tanker. The estimated price is between $200 and $230 thousand. Gervia is looking into financing through local banks and through leasing programs.
  
• Ray Atwood met with the Board to inform them of a bill in the legislature that would attempt to discontinue all ancient highways in the state.
  
• At a request from the Development Review Board, Dave motioned: “To appoint Sharon Murray as a regular member of the DRB and appoint current member Rob Heimbuch as the alternate.” Ken seconded. There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
  
• Dave motioned: “To approve a fireworks permit for Johnny Streeter for July 9, 2005.”
  
• Ken motioned: “To approved the hiring of Mudgett, Jenet and Krogh-Wisner for the upcoming audit.” Dave seconded. There was no other discussion. All were in favor motion passed.

There was no business to be brought before this Board at this time. Pat motioned to end the meeting, seconded by Ken. The meeting ended at 7:30pm.
