MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 18, 2005 SELECT BOARD MEETING

Board members present were Ron Lafreniere, John Devine, Jerry Mullen and Pat Mallow. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviére. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.

Bob Fries from Bolton Valley met with the Board to discuss the upcoming hearing for the VCDP Grant the town will be applying for. Fries suggested that if the Town didn’t wish to administer the grant for the next thirty years, the State or GBIC may be available for that job. Deb will call Ann Kroll at Housing and Community Development and Frank Cioffi at GBIC. The hearing is scheduled for Monday January 24.

Clothing allocations for the road crew are ready. The Board would like a note sent with each check asking that the crew purchase decent clothing and good shoes. Deb will distribute.

John’s draft of the Select board letter was read. Deb will make a few changes and get a copy to the board next Monday.

The warning was read and signed.

Warrants were signed.

John motioned: “To accept the minutes from December 20, December 28, January 01, January 05 Select Board’s meeting and the January 05 Public Hearing.” Seconded by Jerry. There were no additions, corrections or changes. All were in favor, motion passed.

A letter from the Vermont State Police regarding a citizens advisory board was read.

November trial balances and Treasurers Reports were distributed.

There was no other business to be brought before this board at this time.

Jerry motioned to end the meeting, seconded by John. The meting closed at 6:45.
