MINUTES FROM THE OCTOBER 04, 2004 SELECT BOARD MEETING

 

Board members present were Ron Lafreniere, Pat Mallow, Dave Johnson, John Devine and Jerry Mullen. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviére. The meeting came to order at 6pm.

 

• The Board received a letter from Town Attorney Robert Fletcher regarding the agreement between the Town and Matt Johnson for use of his driveway as a bus turnaround. The Board agreed with the changes and were acceptable to adding Johnson to the Town’s insurance policy. Jerry motioned to: "Approve the agreement between the Town and Matthew Johnson for use of his property as a bus turnaround." John seconded. Deb will contact the Allen Agency with regard to the insurance addition. There was no further discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.

•  The Board would like bid letters for insurance sent to the Allen Agency and the VLCT. Deadline should be October 31, 2004.

•  The Board reviewed the Ortho map agreement. Jerry motioned: “To approve the contract to have arial photos of the town made.” Dave seconded. There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.

• Dave motioned: "To accept the minutes from the September 20, 2004 meeting." Seconded by Jerry. There was no discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.

• Warrants were signed.

•  With regard to private roads the Board would accept the ruling of the Development Review Board. A buyer on Bear Mountain Road is having problems with a lender because of one of the conditions listed on his DRB decision. Deb will research this with Dick Ward.

• Bill Knight from the Metropolitan Planning Board met with the Selectmen to review the MPO's work.

 

There was no other business to be brought before this Board at this time. Jerry motioned to end the meeting, seconded by Pat. The meeting closed at 7:30.
