MINUTES FROM THE DECEMBER 08, 2003 SELECT BOARD MEETING

Board members present were John Devine, Pete Siegel, and Dave Johnson. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviére, Planning Commission Chair Linda Baker, Zoning Administrator Dick Ward and MPG member Joss Besse. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.

Brendan Cosgrove from GBIC made a presentation for those present regarding their long range planning initiative and goals. Cosgrove left a draft copy and feedback for the board to review.

Bob Fries from Bolton Valley met with those present to introduce Larry Williams of Redstone Development Corporation, owners of the balance of the land that previously belonged to Bolton Valley Holiday Resort. Williams had no concrete plans but did admit that his company had purchased the land with the intention of developing it. They would like to be involved with the town in its revision of regulations and would like input from the town on their plans. The Board will continue to discuss this with the Planning Commission and Dick Ward.

The Board reviewed the finalized budget. Jerry motioned: “To approve a budget of $609,050 for the 04-05 year.” Dave seconded. There was no discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.    

Joss Besse and PC Clerk Amy Grover showed the Board the draft of the proposed zoning map and asked for comments.

There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed. Dave motioned to end the meeting, seconded by Jerry. The meeting ended at 9pm.
