Select board minutes from June 03, 2002
Board members present were Jerry Mullen, Pete Siegel, John Devine and Dave Johnson. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviére. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.
Planning Commission Clerk Amy Grover met with the Board to review the changes to the zoning district map. The board is satisfied with the map and the boundary changes for Village 2. They suggested lowering the North West line to meet the brook line and the bottom of the district should be right at the S-turn. Amy will confer with Ian MacDougall at CCRP and get the specifics on how the changes are put into effect.
The Treasurer’s Report for April was reviewed.
Pete motioned: “To approve a fireworks permit for John Streeter fro the 6th. of July.” Jerry seconded. There was no further discussion, all were in favor. Motion passed.
Jerry motioned: “To approve a fireworks permit for Bolton Valley Holiday Resort for June 14th...” John seconded. There was no further discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
The Board would like to explore the possibilities of restricting building permits while the Planning Commission is in the process of making the zoning district changes. Deb will call Stitzel, Page and Fletcher.
Jerry motioned: “To approve and sign the request for an extension from Property Valuation and Review from set dates pertinent to lodging the grand list.” Seconded by Pete. The reasons for the extension request are malfunctions in the state’s computer program. There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
The Board reviewed an ACT 250 letter regarding the Tiffany/Morrissey property.
Jerry asked that a new agenda form be used that incorporates an ‘Old Business’ section. Deb will do.
The Board would like thank you letters sent to the BCA Chairs of Huntington, Duxbury and Waterbury thanking them for their support during our fight on reapportionment.
Jerry asked if the Board would consider naming the brook on his property and if so, he has asked that it be called Mullenbeck. The Board is generally in favor of this, but would like to know if it would have any impact on the zoning regulations since the regs address ‘named brooks’ and ‘un-named brooks’. Deb will check with CCRP.
Bob Smith of Nashville Road in Jericho has inquired as to whether the Town would entertain the idea of a joint effort in maintaining Nashville Road. The Board is opposed to this idea. John will speak with Mr. Smith.
There was no other business to be brought before this Board at this time.
Jerry motioned to close the meeting, seconded by John. The meting ended at 7:25pm.
Attest:
Deborah LaRiviére
