MINUTES FROM THE MAY 20, 2002 SELECT BOARD MEETING
Board members present were John Devine, Pete Siegel, Ron Lafreniere and Dave Johnson. Also present was Town Clerk Deborah LaRiviére. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.
John motioned: “To approve Bolton Valley Holiday Resort’s liquor licenses.” Dave seconded. There was no discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
John motioned: “To accept Hilary Besse’s resignation from the Conservation Commission.” Dave seconded. Pete requested that a thank-you note be sent to Hilary. There was no other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
Dave motioned: “To appoint Lars Botzojorns to the Conservation Commission to fill Hilary’s place.” John seconded. John, Pete and Dave in favor, Ron against. Motion carried.
John reported to the Board a complaint from a Mill Brook Road resident regarding the placement of grade stakes at the edge of Wilson Sanders property. With these stakes in place, any road grading done on Mill Brook pushes the road over to the property on the other side of the road. The Board decided that Sanders is infringing on the neighbor’s properties and a letter should be sent.
The Board reviewed a letter from a motorist stating that a stone from a town vehicle broke his windshield. Ron motioned: “To write to the motorist and inform him that the Town of Bolton doesn’t cover this type of incident.” Dave seconded. There was other discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
Amy Grover met with the Board to discuss the revamping of the zoning map. She will contact Ian MacDougall at CCRP to see if he will be able to help with the finalization of the maps and zoning regs as well as the Town Plan. The Board commended Amy and asked her to pass it to the PC that the map looked good.
There was no other business to be brought before this Board at this time.
Dave motioned to end the meeting, seconded by John. The meeting closed at 7pm.
