MINUTES FROM THE FEBRUARY 04, 2002 MEETING OF THE
SELECTBOARD
Board members present were Jerry Mullen, John Devine and
Pete Siegel. Also present was Clerk Deb LaRiviere. The meeting was called to
order at 6pm.
Pete motioned to enter Executive Session to discuss a
personnel matter, seconded by Jerry. The Board entered Executive Session at
6:05 and returned to their regular meeting at 6:30.
- Jerry
motioned: “To draft a letter to
all appointed board/commission members outlining their particular job
description and reminding all to not over step the boundaries of their
job.” John seconded. There was no other discussion, all were in
favor, motion passed.
- Jerry
motioned: “To re-send the letter
to Thom McEvoy requesting that he step down from the DRB due to lack of
attendance.” John seconded. There was no discussion, all were in
favor, motion passed. Jerry motioned: “To
ask Shirley Zundell if she was interested in serving as the Town’s
Representative to CCRP.” Seconded
by Pete. There was no discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
- Pete
motioned: “To accept the minutes
from January 28, January 14, December 23, and December 10.” Seconded by John. There were no changes
or additions, all were in favor, motion passed.
- Warrants
were signed.
- Deb
told the board she had received an inquiry regarding the legality of
plowing or snow blowing snow from one property to the neighbors’ property.
The Board concluded that this was not a town issue.
- John
motioned: To approve the expenses
of $40 for a MMU yearbook ad.” Seconded by Jerry. There was no
discussion, all were in favor, motion passed.
- The
Planning Commission asked for clarification on roads. The Board felt the
PC’s wordage on page 27 section 12 of the Bolton Zoning Regulations
adequately addressed the issue. The Board further stated that they stand
behind the decision to not take over any private roads.
- Pete
will check on the availability of funds for emergency communications
items. John motioned: “To accept
and adopt the Town of Bolton Emergency Plan.” Pete seconded. There was no discussion,
all were in favor, motion passed.
There was no other business to be brought before this Board
at this time. Pete motioned to close the meeting, seconded John. The meeting
ended at 7:30.
