Minutes from December 03, 2001 Selectmen’s Meeting

Board members present were John Devin, Dave Johnson and Pete Siegel. Also present was Town Clerk Deb LaRiviere. The meeting was called to order at 6pm.

The Board discussed an appointment to the Regional Planning Commission as a Bolton Rep. John will call Joss Besse.

The Board reviewed the October Treasurer’s Report.

The Board questioned the plowing of the school parking lot and whether or not the Town handles this. Ron and Dave both stated that in Richmond the school contract’s the job out to independent contractors.

Michael Crane, Executive Director of CCRPC met with the Board to discuss the Commission’s previous activities and their plan for the future. Crane stressed the need for a Bolton Rep. He also offered staff help for the Town’s Planning Commission whenever it is needed.

Hilary Besse and Sharon Murray  from the Conservation Commission met with the Board to discuss their 2002-03 budget. The Commission is asking for level funding of $1600. They are still pursuing the acquisition of the Tiffany/Morrissey property, but feel they are quite a distance from reaching a sale price that is agreeable to all. They wished to state for the record that they (Commission) is in favor of the additional penny on the tax rate for the purchase of conservation land
